Alisha and Steve Sarmaga are the proud owners of Mighty Mouse Daycare. Alisha has a deep passion for childcare, and nurturing children’s growth and development has always been her dream. As long-time residents of Vernon, Alisha and her husband recognized the growing need for quality childcare spaces in the community. When the opportunity arose to open their very own centre, they jumped at the chance.

Together, Alisha and Steve are incredibly proud of their centre and dedicated staff, and they look forward to supporting the families of Vernon by providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

When it came time to choose a name for the centre, the decision was easy. Before opening Mighty Mouse Daycare, Alisha worked in retail, where her small stature often meant she needed assistance with heavy items. However, when coworkers were busy helping other customers, Alisha found creative ways to maneuver large purchases on her own. Her coworkers were consistently amazed at how this “tiny” woman managed big-ticket items with determination and strength — and soon, her nickname became Mighty Mouse.
